Configuring Sale Items Inventory Settings

Purpose of Sale Items Inventory

The Sale Items Inventory settings in the Any.Rentals platform allow businesses to manage stock availability for sale items effectively. These options ensure accurate inventory tracking, provide transparency to customers, and streamline inventory operations for canceled orders.

This feature is accessible via Admin Dashboard > Configuration > Sales & Rentals > Sale Items Inventory.

Settings and Options Overview

1. Stock Options

  • Set Items' Status to be In Stock When Order is Cancelled:

    • Purpose: Automatically updates the stock status of items when an order is canceled.
    • Effect: Ensures that inventory levels reflect the return of items to stock upon order cancellation.
    • When to Use: Enable this option to prevent discrepancies in stock levels caused by canceled orders.
  • Only X left Threshold:

    • Purpose: Sets the minimum stock level at which a product’s availability will display a low-stock warning (e.g., "Only 5 left!").
    • Effect: Creates urgency for customers and prompts faster purchases.
    • When to Use: Use this setting to highlight low stock levels and encourage sales, particularly for high-demand items.
    • Example: If the threshold is set to 10, the platform will display the low-stock message when the quantity falls to 10 or fewer.
  • Display Products Availability in Stock in the Frontend:

    • Purpose: Configures whether stock availability is visible to customers on the product page.
    • Options:
      • Enabled: Displays stock availability (e.g., "In Stock" or "Out of Stock") on the product page.
      • Disabled: Hides stock availability from customers.
    • Effect: Provides customers with transparency about product availability and prevents potential disappointment.
    • When to Use: Enable this if you want customers to see inventory levels; disable if you prefer not to disclose stock status.
