Purpose of the Feature

The Search Keywords section in the Admin Dashboard enables rental companies to manage keyword associations to enhance the search functionality on their website. This tool helps ensure customers can find relevant products more easily, even if their search terms differ slightly from the product titles or descriptions.

How to Use the Search Keywords Section

Accessing the Section

  1. Log in to the Admin Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Catalog > Search Keywords.
  3. Use the provided tools to add, edit, or remove keywords.

Step-by-Step Guide

Adding New Keywords

  1. Click Add New Keyword:

    • Navigate to the Search Keywords section.
    • Click the Add New Keyword button.
  2. Define Keyword Details:

    • Keyword: Enter the search term customers are likely to use.
    • Redirect URL: Specify the URL to redirect customers to when they search for this keyword.
    • Store View: Select the store view where the keyword should be applied.
    • Priority: Assign a priority level (higher priority overrides lower ones in case of conflicts).
  3. Save the Keyword:

    • Click Save to add the keyword to the system.

Editing Keywords

  1. Locate the keyword in the list by using the search or filter options.
  2. Click on the keyword to open the edit view.
  3. Update the fields as needed:
    • Modify the keyword text or redirect URL.
    • Change the priority or associated store view.
  4. Save your changes.

Deleting Keywords

  1. Find the keyword you wish to remove.
  2. Select it and click Delete.
  3. Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the keyword.

Bulk Management

  • Import Keywords: Use the Import feature to upload a list of keywords via a CSV file. Ensure the file follows the correct format with fields for keyword, redirect URL, store view, and priority.
  • Export Keywords: Download existing keywords into a CSV file for analysis or backup purposes.

Data Fields Available

Keyword Fields

  • Keyword: The search term entered by customers.
  • Redirect URL: The target URL customers are directed to when using this keyword.
  • Store View: Specifies the applicable store view(s).
  • Priority: Determines the precedence of the keyword if multiple matches are found.

  • Keyword: The search term.
  • Redirect URL: Target URL.
  • Store View: Store views where the keyword is applicable.
  • Priority: Priority level.
