Configuring RentAlerts in the Admin Dashboard
Purpose of RentAlertsTM
The RentAlertsTM feature in the Any.Rentals platform is designed to provide automated notifications for rental-related events, ensuring timely communication between the business, its staff, and its customers. RentAlertsTM help reduce missed deadlines, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction through proactive notifications via email and text messaging.
This feature is accessible through the Admin Dashboard > Configuration > Rental Settings > RentAlertsTM section. The RentAlerts module is divided into several sub-sections, each tailored for specific notification scenarios and audiences.
Sections and Options Overview
1. General Settings
The General Settings section configures global settings for RentAlertsTM, such as the sender's number, text message formatting, and email redirection for replies.
2. Admin RentAlertTM: Rental Starting
These settings notify administrators when a rental period is about to begin.
RentAlertTM Dispatch Overdue Notice:
- Sends a notice if rental equipment is overdue for dispatch.
- Purpose: Ensures timely dispatch of rental items.
- Usage: Enable this setting to activate overdue notices.
Enable RentAlertTM Texts:
- Sends a text message notification to admins when a rental is about to start.
- Usage: Toggle to enable/disable text notifications.
Enable RentAlertTM Emails:
- Sends an email notification to admins for rental start alerts.
- Usage: Toggle to enable/disable email notifications.
3. Admin RentAlertTM: Rental Ending
These settings alert administrators about upcoming rental terminations.
RentAlertTM Advance Notice:
- Specifies how many days in advance the admin should be notified of an upcoming rental end.
- Usage: Enter the number of days for advance notification.
Enable RentAlertTM Texts:
- Sends a text message to admins for end-of-rental notifications.
- Usage: Toggle to enable/disable text alerts.
Enable RentAlertTM Emails:
- Sends an email notification for rental end alerts.

4. Admin RentAlertTM: Rental Dispatch
This section focuses on notifications related to the dispatch of rental items.
RentAlertTM Advance Notice:
- Specifies how many days in advance to notify admins about an upcoming dispatch.
- Usage: Set the number of days for the notice.
RentAlertTM Repeat Alert:
- Enables repeat notifications if the dispatch remains incomplete.
- Usage: Toggle to enable repeat alerts.
Enable RentAlertTM Texts:
- Sends text notifications for dispatch-related alerts.
- Usage: Toggle to enable/disable text notifications.
