Overview

The Tax Zones & Rates section in the Admin Dashboard enables administrators to define, manage, and apply tax rates for specific geographical areas. This feature ensures that accurate tax rates are applied to transactions based on the customer’s location, helping businesses comply with regional tax regulations.

The Tax Zones & Rates section is designed to:

  1. Tax Zone Configuration:

1. Viewing Tax Zones & Rates

The main page provides a list of all defined tax zones and their respective rates.

Available Data Fields:

  • ID: A unique identifier for the tax zone.
  • Tax Identifier: A descriptive name for the tax zone or rate.
  • Country: The country where the tax rate applies.
  • State/Region: The state or region within the country.
  • Zip/Post Code: The zip or postal code range for the tax rate.
  • Rate: The percentage rate to be applied.
  • Actions: Options to edit or delete the tax zone or rate.

How to View Tax Zones & Rates:

  1. Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Financials > Tax > Tax Zones & Rates.
  2. Review the list of available tax zones and rates along with their details.

2. Adding a New Tax Zone & Rate

Creating a new tax zone and rate ensures compliance with specific regional tax requirements.

Steps to Add a New Tax Zone & Rate:

  1. Click Add New Tax Zone & Rate.
  2. Enter the required fields:
    • Tax Identifier: Provide a descriptive name for the tax rate (e.g., California Sales Tax).
    • Country: Select the applicable country from the dropdown menu.
    • State/Region: Choose the state or region where the tax applies.
    • Zip/Post Code: Optionally, specify a zip or postal code range.
    • Rate: Enter the tax rate as a percentage.
  3. Click Save to finalize the new tax zone and rate.

3. Editing an Existing Tax Zone & Rate

Modify existing tax zones and rates to reflect updated tax regulations or business needs.

Steps to Edit a Tax Zone & Rate:

  1. Locate the desired tax zone in the list.
  2. Click Edit under the Actions column.
  3. Update the necessary fields and click Save Changes.

4. Deleting a Tax Zone & Rate

Remove unused or obsolete tax zones and rates to streamline the system.

Steps to Delete a Tax Zone & Rate:

  1. Locate the tax zone you wish to delete.
  2. Click Delete under the Actions column.
  3. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
