Overview
The Credit Memos section in the Admin Dashboard enables administrators to manage and track refunds issued to customers for orders. This feature provides a detailed record of all credit memos generated, allowing for efficient refund management and financial transparency.
Purpose
The Credit Memos feature is designed to:
- Facilitate the process of issuing refunds to customers.
- Provide a clear record of refunds for accounting and customer service purposes.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of returned items and refunded amounts.
Key Features
Credit Memo Management:
- View and manage all credit memos generated for customer orders.
- Issue refunds directly from the system for applicable orders.
Detailed Record Keeping:
- Access comprehensive details for each credit memo, including customer information, refunded items, and payment adjustments.
Sorting and Searching:
- Sort credit memos by attributes such as Credit Memo ID, Customer Name, Order Number, or Date Issued.
- Search for specific credit memos using customizable filters.

1. Credit Memo Overview
This section provides a summary view of all credit memos in the system.
Available Data Fields:
- Credit Memo ID: Unique identifier for each credit memo.
- Customer Name: The name of the customer receiving the refund.
- Order Number: The order associated with the credit memo.
- Date Issued: Date the credit memo was created.
- Refund Amount: Total amount refunded to the customer.
- Status: Current status of the credit memo (e.g., Pending, Completed).
- Actions: Options to view or resend the credit memo.
2. Viewing a Credit Memo
Administrators can view detailed information for each credit memo.
How to View a Credit Memo:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Financials > Credit Memos.
- Search for the credit memo using filters such as Credit Memo ID, Customer Name, or Order Number.
- Click on the credit memo to view full details.
Detailed View Includes:
- Items refunded, including quantities and reasons.
- Payment adjustments, such as shipping or tax refunds.
- Notes or comments added during the refund process.
3. Creating a Credit Memo
Credit memos can be generated for eligible orders that require a refund.
How to Create a Credit Memo:
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Financials > Invoices or the relevant order details page.
- Select the order that requires a refund.
- Click Create Credit Memo.
- Adjust quantities or items to be refunded as needed.
- Add any additional comments or notes.
- Confirm and finalize the credit memo to issue the refund.
4. Updating Credit Memo Records
Credit memo records can be updated to reflect additional details or corrections.
How to Update a Credit Memo Record:
- Open the credit memo you wish to update.
- Modify the necessary fields, such as comments or status.
- Save changes to update the record.
